    Rolling into the 2021 Olympic Trials, the only thing we know for sure is that Simone Biles, barring an alien invasion, is going to come in first place and lead the team. Besides that, anything could happen! What we do know is that the top two all-arounders at trials are automatically placed on the team, so everyone will be fighting for that second spot. Land below second place, and it’s up to Tom Forster and the selection committee who they choose to put onto the coveted four-person Olympic team, who is going as alternates, and who misses the team completely.

    FORT WORTH, Texas, June 6, 2021 – Simone Biles of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre claimed another spot in the record books Sunday at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, notching a seventh U.S. senior women’s all-around title – the most in history. Biles (119.650) ran away from the competition on Day 2, stretching a 2.2-point lead to nearly five full points. Sunisa Lee of St. Paul, Minn./Midwest Gymnastics Center finished second with a 114.950, and Biles’ World Champions Centre teammate Jordan Chiles (114.450) rounded out the top three. Biles also claimed the top spots on vault (31.025), balance beam (29.250) and floor exercise (29.600). Lee notched the national title on uneven bars with a 30.200.

    INDIANAPOLIS, March 13, 2021 – USA Gymnastics today announced the full 2021 U.S. Women’s Junior and Senior National Team rosters following the conclusion of the first in-person National Team camp of the year. Five junior and four senior athletes automatically qualified to the National Team through their all-around performances at the 2021 Winter Cup in February. The additional gymnasts were named to the team by the Athlete Selection Committee who considered in-camp performance in addition to submitted petitions.

    The Winter Cup is known for being somewhat of a pre-season competition, where we expect to see many falls in past years when there was only a men’s competition. The women showed up to the weekend and left that reputation in the dust - though there were of course mistakes after not having any elite competitions in nearly a year, many gymnasts surprised us with new skills, huge routines, and big smiles for being back on the competition floor after so long.

Thirteen-year-old Ella Kate Parker of West Monroe, La./Cincinnati Gymnastics secured the junior women’s all-around title with a 52.350.
