The FIG Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Technical Committee has announced that a total of seven new elements were successfully performed at the 44th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Antwerp. The confirmed new elements include one on the Uneven Bars, three on Balance Beam and three on Floor Exercise.

Of the thousands of still shots taken by Gymnastike photographer Melissa Perenson during the 2013 World Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp, one athlete stood out to us as "most photogenic". INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 10, 2013 – Fans can watch the USA take on the world’s best gymnasts at the 2013 World Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp, Belgium, on NBC this weekend.  The USA won 12 medals (three gold, six silver and three bronze) at the 2013 World Gymnastics Championships at the Antwerp (Belgium) Sports Palace, setting a U.S. record for the most medals earned at a single World Championships.  Action from the women’s and men’s all-around finals will air on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 2-4 p.m. ET, and the individual event finals will be featured on Sunday, Oct. 13, from 2-4 p.m. ET.   Simone Biles of Spring, Texas/Bannon's Gymnastix, Inc., and Kyla Ross of Aliso Viejo, Calif./Gym-Max, compete in the women’s all-around, where they finished first and second, respectively. Also, 2013 is the men’s most successful individual World Championships in U.S. history.
