    The NCAA Championship was an exciting event this year, not the least because it was a comeback season after the 2020 season was canceled. This year’s competition field was incredibly tight, and to add on to the historic nature of this year’s competition, it aired on ESPN live for the first time. Additionally, the winner of this year capped off the historic year, with Michigan winning its first title in school history.

    After placing in the top two in their respective semifinals, UCLA, LSU, Oklahoma, and Denver have qualified to the first Four on the Floor NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championship final. In semifinal I, UCLA finished in first with a 197.6750, and LSU finished in second with a 197.5125. In semifinal II, Oklahoma won with a 197.8500 while Denver came in second with a 197.0375.

    Freshman Lexy Ramler competed in front of a hometown crowd at regionals in Minneapolis last weekend and picked up her third-best all-around score with a 39.500 to qualify to NCAAs as an individual. While her team did not earn one of the two spots, the Gophers put together a solid performance and finished less than two tenths out of third place.

    The sixth week of NCAA competition kicks off this Friday night as youthful Kentucky takes on a Georgia team that is getting stronger each week. There's also a Big Ten showdown slated tomorrow, as Minnesota and Illinois face off. Then conference foes Nebraska and Iowa meet in a Saturday dual contest, while Denver plays host to West Virginia and George Washington at the 2018 Winterfest Classic, which you can watch right here on FloGymnastics.

    Oklahoma took on UCLA at Pauley Pavilion Sunday in a meet that did not disappoint. The Sooners came out on top 198.050 to 197.950 with a second straight week scoring over the 198 mark. But perhaps the most moving part of the afternoon came after the final floor routine finished and the last score was flashed.

LSU and Alabama battled in SEC action, while UCLA welcomed back Madison Kocian in a road win against Arizona. Elizabeth Price posted another excellent all-around meet and Minnesota freshman Lexy Ramler has been stellar on beam for the Gophers.
