Sep 17, 2016NCAA Gymnastics tends to emphasize execution over difficulty. The scoring is based on the 10.0 system from the J.O. Code of Points, and performing a clean routine that hits all the composition requirements is favored over throwing more difficult skills that might be a bit messy. That being said, many gymnasts will still include difficult skills and connections in their routines for bonus.

Oklahoma Wins NCAA Championship In Close Super Six Battle
Apr 17, 2016In an incredibly close competition, Oklahoma has emerged as the NCAA Champion with a final score of 197.6750. LSU finished second with a 197.4500, followed by Alabama with a 197.4375, Florida with a 197.3500, UCLA with a 196.8250, and Georgia with a 196.8125. This competition will perhaps go down in history as one of the best Super Six meets - every team performed at their best and we got to see some great gymnastics across the board.
NCAA Semifinals Recap: Oklahoma Leads The Pack Going Into Super Six
Apr 16, 2016After two sessions of Semifinals today, six teams will be advancing to Super Six Finals tomorrow to vie for the NCAA Championship. Oklahoma finished in the top spot with a 197.7875, followed by Florida with a 197.4750, Alabama with a 197.3875, LSU with a 197.3375, Georgia with a 196.7250, and UCLA with a 196.7000.

2016 NCAA Individual Titles Crowned
Apr 16, 2016In the first year of the non-event final format at NCAA Championships, individual event and all around titles were awarded after the semi finals competitions. Bridget Sloan took home her second all around title, giving her one in both her freshman and senior seasons, and crowd favorite Nina McGee took home a floor title for Denver.
