In particular, we're looking at which teams had the most 10.0 vaults in their lineups and how this correlated with scoring during the season. NCAA Gymnastics tends to emphasize execution over difficulty. The scoring is based on the 10.0 system from the J.O. Code of Points, and performing a clean routine that hits all the composition requirements is favored over throwing more difficult skills that might be a bit messy. In an incredibly close competition, Oklahoma has emerged as the NCAA Champion with a final score of 197.6750. LSU finished second with a 197.4500, followed by Alabama with a 197.4375, Florida with a 197.3500, UCLA with a 196.8250, and Georgia with a 196.8125. After two sessions of Semifinals today, six teams will be advancing to Super Six Finals tomorrow to vie for the NCAA Championship. In the first year of the non-event final format at NCAA Championships, individual event and all around titles were awarded after the semi finals competitions.
