2004 Olympic gold medalist Carly Patterson-Caldwell continues to stay involved with the sport she will forever love, but since moving on from competition, she has developed other passions.

Patterson is the proud mama of two precious pets: Beauxgart and Jasper. They keep her and her husband Mark occupied, energized, happy, and loved. With those two, there’s always an adventure on the horizon.




Beauxgart, their sweet and studly Sheepadoodle puppy, is always ready for play time. And Jasper is a hairless Sphynx cat who loves to cuddle and soak up the sun. The couple loves every minute spent with their little babies.

We can’t imagine our lives without them. We’re like, 'What did we do before we had them?' They just bring so much joy and love and fun into our life. They become like your little kids.

Carly and Mark got Beauxgart a couple of months after they got married, so he has been there from the start of their new journey together. Whether they're taking a morning walk, jumping in the pool for an afternoon swim, or enjoying a car ride, Beauxgart keeps Patterson busy when she’s not on the road for speaking engagements or competitions.

But her now-happy pup wasn't always so lively. Patterson used to have a hard time finding food that Beauxgart would eat. He would wait until he was really really hungry, and then force down some nourishment. When Patterson recently found Nulo products, life for her and her pets completely changed.

He has so much energy now, I’ve noticed. He’s always down for a walk. I used to take him for a long walk in the morning, and then I would try again later that evening, but he was still so tired from the morning walk. But now, he’s always down to do whatever, whenever. Nulo keeps him going.

Patterson wants to keep Beauxgart and Jasper happy and healthy, which involves making sure they are active. She enjoys seeing Jasper get excited about playing with foil balls and lasers. Because what cat doesn’t love a laser? Taking Beauxgart on daily walks has become a treasured tradition.
