Senior RESULTS: Kyla Ross & Team USA Victorious Once Again in Jesolo


It wasn't her best competition, but Team USA's Kyla Ross of Gym-Max clinched the all around title today at the 2014 City of Jesolo Trophy and led Team USA to Victory ahead of the host team of Italy. 

USA swept the top six places in the all around. Peyton Ernst of Texas Dreams won silver, and Maggie Nichols of Twin City Twisters won bronze. Mykayla Skinner of Desert Lights fell during her difficult floor routine and finished off the podium in 4th. Competing in her international debut as the newest member of the U.S. Senior National team, Rachel Gowey of Chow's finished 5th. 

Ross came from behind to win the title after receiving a full point deduction on vault in the first rotation for balking and running past the vault on her first attempt. This is Ross's third all around win in Jesolo. She won as a junior in 2011 and as a senior in 2012.

In the team competition, USA won by ten points. Italy was second with Japan third, and Australia 4th.
