Karis German of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre took third with a 53.250.
Kailin Chio Takes Junior All-Around Title At 2021 American Classic
Apr 24, 2021INDIANAPOLIS, April 24, 2021 – Kailin Chio of Henderson, Nev./Gymcats Gymnastics topped the field in the junior all-around competition at the 2021 American Classic Saturday in Indianapolis. Chio (53.650) finished more than two points ahead of runner-up Ella Murphy of Frisco, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics (51.500) and her WOGA teammate Madray Johnson of Dallas, Texas, who was third with a 51.350.
Claire Pease & Myli Lew Dominate At 2021 Hopes Classic
Apr 24, 2021INDIANAPOLIS, April 23, 2021 – Claire Pease of Sunnyvale, Texas/WOGA Gymnastics notched the top score on all four apparatus en route to the all-around title in the 11-12 year-old division at the 2021 Hopes Classic Friday in Indianapolis. In the 13-14 year-old division, Myli Lew of Belmont, Calif./San Mateo Gymnastics claimed the high score in the all-around with a competition-high 52.050. Lew also topped the field on the uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. Carsyn Coleman of Corona, Calif./Precision Gymnastics led the way on vault.

This year’s competition field was incredibly tight, and to add on to the historic nature of this year’s competition, it aired on ESPN live for the first time. Additionally, the winner of this year capped off the historic year, with Michigan winning its first title in school history.
Laura Zeng Finishes Top 10 All-Around At Sofia World Cup
Mar 29, 2021INDIANAPOLIS, March 28, 2021 – Laura Zeng of Libertyville, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center took sixth place in the hoop apparatus final (21.800) and eighth place in the ball final (20.300) to close out the first international competition of 2021. Zeng and teammate Evita Griskenas of Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center finished seventh and 27th, respectively, in this weekend’s 2021 Sofia (Bulgaria) World Cup all-around competition. Zeng’s Day 1 hoop and ball scores qualified her to Sunday’s event finals for both apparatus.
