Junior RESULTS: Key Leads USA to Victory at 2014 City of Jesolo Trophy


After an exciting first sessoin of competition at the 2014 City of Jesolo Trophy, Team USA decisively took gold as a team with a 228.00 followed by Romania with a 212.90 and Italy who scored a 211.40.

In the all around competition, Bailie Key of USA and Texas Dreams Gymnatics defended her title with a huge 58.25. She hit all four events with new routines on bars, beam, and floor, and won the gold by nearly two points. Competing in their international debuts for Team USA, Nia Dennis of Buckeye and Norah Flatley of Chow's earned the silver and bronze medals. 

The top eight on each event have advanced to finals tomorrow, with the exception that each country is only allowed a maximum of two on each event.

Key impressively advanced to finals on every event. She earned the meet's top score on each event except for beam where newcomer Flatley stole the show.
