We caught up with Olympic gold medalist Dominique Dawes to get her opinions on Team USA's performance in Rio and learn about what her future holds.

Since her golden moment in Atlanta with the Magnificent 7 in 1996, Dawes has been involved in countless campaigns and has enjoyed motivational speaking. She recently helped launch a $2.5 million program with the Boys & Girls Clubs called Renovation Across the Nation, which will enhance and restore 50 Boys & Girls Clubs.

Dawes spent the Rio Games in the U.S. with her family watching the Olympics, and had the opportunity to do daily hits on Good Morning America.

In the video, Dawes mentioned her pizza Instagram in honor of Simone, which totally lives up to her "Awesome Dawesome" nickname:

On watching the Games...

Every four years with the Summer Olympic Games, it brings back memories of my Summer Olympic Games. Not once during these Games did I think that I'd want to get back out there and put a leotard on.

On the Final Five...

These girls are amazing and talented, and I love the fact that they all seem to be friends -- just happy, and happy for one another, and I think that's why they won gold. They are the Final Five, but I truly do think we are going to see a couple of these young faces continue in the sport.

On her current focus...

I'm blessed to be a mom of two young girls. I have a two-and-a-half-year-old and an 11-month-old. My days are very much consumed in being a mom full-time, and I love it. It's the greatest thing I've ever done. I get a lot from being a mom. There's a lot of sleepless nights with the little ones, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

On what the near future holds...

Right now, my focus is on being a mom, and I also of course want to continue motivational speaking and being a spokesperson for different campaigns. I'm just trying to plant a positive seed in the lives of young kids and their families.
