Workout Wednesday- TOP Training at Cincinnati Gymnastics

This Workout Wednesday features the TOPs team at Cincinnati Gymnastics. These gymnasts are up early in the morning a few days a week to work on their physical abilities, strength and shaping drills, basic skills, and lead ups for the big skills. The TOPs go through a basic tumbling complex and then hit the physical abilities as Rachael (Tracy) Gardner gives us some cool drills they do to help perfect the strength exercises that make up the PA. On beam they begin with their basics skills needed for testing again with some drills used to perfect the little details like leg form in each of the skills, along with drills for their future aerial elements. Bar coach Amanda Johnson goes thru a circuit of bar basics with circling drills, casting and swinging shaping work. 5 of these TOP athletes qualified to the TOPS National Team (TOPS A Team-Megan Asher, Mila Brusch, and Lillian Lippeatt. TOPS B Team- Josey Kiefer, and Addison Shultz.)
