Impressive performances at tonight’s Nastia Liukin Cup lead to an incredibly close finish but Kiya Johnson and Maddie Karr came away with the junior and senior title respectively, both scoring a 38.275. For the juniors, Shaylah Scott finished second and Alexa Al-Hameed finished third. For the seniors, Anna Glenn finished second and Olivia Karas finished third.

Alicia Boren earned the highest vault score with a 9.875 for her Yurchenko 1 1/2, the highest beam score with a 9.75, as well as the highest floor score with another 9.75. Glenn had the high on bars with a 9.575.

Johnson started out solid on floor with a 9.45. She then moved on to vault where she scored an impressive 9.75 for a big full twisting Yurchenko. With the two power events out of the way, Johnson moved to bars. She showed control and earned a 9.45. With beam as her final event, she had a lot of pressure on her shoulders but she handled herself incredibly well. She was poised and nailed her beam routine finishing with a huge 2 1/2 twist dismount and earned a 9.625.

Karr started on bars and scored a 9.475 to start her meet off well. She moved to beam where she earned a 9.4. She had an exciting floor routine and scored a 9.575. She ended on vault where she knew she would be able finish with a solid score and she was right - she scored a 9.825 for a huge Yurchenko 1 1/2.

Scott had a great meet overall but her highlight came on vault where she earned a 9.75 for a Yurchenko full with great height and form. Al-Hameed was particularly impressive on bars where she had a sky-high Tkatchev and earned a 9.5.

Glenn showed her beauty and grace throughout the entire meet but especially on beam where she scored a 9.6. Karas had an impressive level of difficulty on all events and had an amazing Yurchenko 1 1/2 that was nearly stuck. Both Glenn and Karas were competitors until the very end and fought hard for their podium finish.
