2012 Glasgow World Cup

This Saturday, December 8th, top male and female elite gymnasts in the world will resume competition in Glasgow, Scotland at the National Indoor Sports Arena. Most have traveled from the Stuttgart World Cup which was held of December 2nd.   Stuttgart winners Elizabeth Price of the USA, and Marcel Nguyen of Germany will look to retain their titles but face tough competition. The men's competition in Stuttgart was especially close. Many countries are represented by 2012 Olympic team members. For a few of the countries, this is a time to find out who their super stars will be for the upcoming quad!   The official website for the competition is http://www.glasgowworldcup.com/ and you can even follow the results live on their twitter feed! @GlasgowWCG2012 Gymnastike will keep you updated on the big news throughout the weekend and feature videos as they become available on this page.    The Glasgow World Cup is a part of FIG's World Cup series. The AT&T American Cup, which will be held in March in the U.S., is also part of this series.   This is a completely sold out event- the British audience must want even more gymnastics after the London Games!
