This Saturday, December 8th, top male and female elite gymnasts in the world will resume competition in Glasgow, Scotland at the National Indoor Sports Arena. Most have traveled from the Stuttgart World Cup which was held of December 2nd.   Stuttgart winners Elizabeth Price of the USA, and Marcel Nguyen of Germany will look to retain their titles but face tough competition. The men's competition in Stuttgart was especially close. Many countries are represented by 2012 Olympic team members. For a few of the countries, this is a time to find out who their super stars will be for the upcoming quad!   The official website for the competition is http://www.glasgowworldcup.com/ and you can even follow the results live on their twitter feed! @GlasgowWCG2012 Gymnastike will keep you updated on the big news throughout the weekend and feature videos as they become available on this page.    The Glasgow World Cup is a part of FIG's World Cup series. The AT&T American Cup, which will be held in March in the U.S., is also part of this series.   This is a completely sold out event- the British audience must want even more gymnastics after the London Games! Competitors include: MEN Fabian Gonzalez (ESP) - Finished 9th in the all-around competition at 2012 Olympic Games Kristian Thomas (GBR) – 2012 Olympic bronze medal winner with Team GB and European team champion Marcel Nguyen (GER) – Double 2012 Olympic silver medal winner - all-around and parallel bars, 2007 World Championship‹ bronze medallist and 6 time European Championships medallist Kazuhito Tanaka (JPN) – Team silver at the 2012 Olympic Games and the 2011 World Championships Yusuke Saito (JPN) - 10th at the 2012 Japanese national championships Oleg Verniaiev (UKR) – 2012 European Championships silver on parallel bars and 11th in the all-around and 4th in the team event at 2012 Olympic Games Danell Leyva (USA) – 2012 Olympic AA bronze medallist; 2011 parallel bars World champion and team bronze medallist Daniel Purvis Â‹(GBR) - 2012 Olympic bronze medal winner with Team GB and 2011 Glasgow World Cup Champion   WOMEN Kaitlyn Hofland (CAN) - 2012 Canadian National team member, one of Canada’s most promising stars Rebecca Tunney (GBR)- 13th AA at the 2012 Olympics and 2012 senior British all-around Champion Niamh Rippin (GBR) - 2012 British floor and vault champion, 2010 European team silver medallist  Elisabeth Seitz (GER) - 2012 Olympic bar finalist and 2011 European AA silver medalist Vanessa Ferrari (ITA) - 8th at the 2012 Olympics, the 2006 all-around World Champion, 2007 AA European Champion and 2012 European Championships team bronze Wakana Inoue (JPN) - 10th at the 2012 Japanese national championships Elizabeth Price (USA) - 2012 US Olympic team alternate, 2012 US VISA Championships 5th AA Kim Bui (GER) - 2012 Olympic team member

Most have traveled from the Stuttgart World Cup which was held of December 2nd. Stuttgart winner, Elizabeth Price, and Olympic AA Bronze medalist, Danell Leyva, will be representing the USA. Some countries are represented by their Olympic team members but for other countries, this is a time to find out who their super stars will be for the upcoming quad!
