The long-awaited arrival of “Baby East” has finally come! Shawn Johnson East and her husband professional football player Andrew East welcomed their bundle of joy into the world, announcing it via Instagram Monday, and their baby is every bit as precious as you’d expect.

A few days before the confirmation on Instagram, fans had suspected Shawn and Andrew welcomed a baby girl into their lives, as the couple had previously hinted that they would add a onesie to their East Fam online store sharing the gender, and the couple added a pink one on Saturday.

Shawn and Andrew are usually very active on Instagram, and after a four day break, followers assumed their baby had come and the family was taking the needed alone time to adjust to their new life.

Parents Shawn and Andrew kept the sex of their baby a secret until birth, something many gym fans had fun guessing about. Although there was no official confirmation until Monday, Nov. 4, the couple have now shared that their baby is a girl. They have not yet shared her name or birthday online, but we hope the news is coming soon!

Mother Shawn has taken fans through her entire pregnancy journey. She especially gave the gymnastics world a surprise when she put on her 2008 Olympic competition leotard at 40 weeks pregnant. Who knew that leotard was so stretchy?

Almost exactly two years ago, the couple lost their first pregnancy, and they were vocal online about their painful experience. After going through such a traumatic time, it only makes this pregnancy and safe delivery even more special.

You can follow along with their new daughter’s life on her very own Instagram page!

We will have to wait awhile to see if Baby East will become another USA superstar in the gymnastics world, or perhaps follow in her daddy's footsteps and become the NFL's first women long snapper, but for now, we are just happy for this new little family.
