Larry Nassar is expected to receive a sentencing of at least 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to seven counts of first-degree sexual assault on Wednesday in a Michigan court, CNN reported.

This comes after several members of the Fierce Five have come forward to say they were sexually abused by Nassar, including McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, and most recently Gabby Douglas.

According to the plea deal, each of the 125 victims who reported assaults to the Michigan state police will have the opportunity to give victim impact statements at Nassar's sentencing, scheduled for January 12. All of the state-level charges involve former family friends, gymnasts, and patients of Nassar.

Nassar offered a statement in court apologizing for his actions with a plea “to move the community forward and stop the hurting.”

"For all those involved, I'm so horribly sorry that this was like a match that turned into a forest fire out of control," he said. "I have no animosity toward anyone. I just want healing. . . . We need to move forward in a sense of growth and healing and I pray (for) that."

Judge Rosemarie Aquilina replied to Nassar's statement:

“You used your position of trust in the most vile way: to abuse children. I agree that now is a time of healing, but it may take them a lifetime of healing while you spend your life behind bars thinking of what you did by taking away their childhood.”

Nassar is now also awaiting sentencing on possession of child pornography with the hearing scheduled for Monday.

Raisman posted an Instagram in response to the news about Nassar pleading guilty, in which she calls for a real and honest look at the culture in order to evoke change.
