Gymnastics Worlds Collide: Simone Biles & Stacey Ervin Officially Dating

Simone Biles and Stacey Ervin are the newest power couple in the gymnastics world, and made it "internet official" this weekend when they posted sweet photos with each other from the weekend in Anaheim, California.

Simone Biles and Stacey Ervin are the newest power couple in the gymnastics world, and the pair made it "internet official" this weekend when they posted sweet photos with each other from the weekend in Anaheim, California.

Simone and Stacey both grew up fully immersed in the sport, which makes them a great fit because they share each other's dedication to gymnastics. A former Michigan gymnast who also was a member of the U.S. men's national team, Ervin was a valuable member of the Wolverine squad until 2015. At the 2016 Winter Cup Challenge in Las Vegas, he took fifth on floor.

It's no secret that Olympic-caliber gymnasts often don't have much time for boyfriends, which Simone was open about earlier this year when she told ET she had only been on one "proper date." Since traveling all over the world for media appearances, book signings, Dancing with the Stars, and everything in between, Simone and Stacey were able to connect in her hometown of Spring, Texas. Stacey is a coach at World Champions Centre and he's still got mad skills. He also made an appearance on American Ninja Warrior this summer.

Taking a little well-deserved time off after so many years of constant training has allowed for some fun, new experiences. A couple weeks ago, Simone and Stacey (Simoncey?) went to a Bryson Tiller concert with family and friends.


After a whirlwind year since winning gold in Rio, Simone and her Final Five teammates were at the 2017 P&G Championships this weekend. . . but not in leotards. The sweethearts of the Summer Games were inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame.

Stacey posted this heartfelt Instagram showing his support for Simone.


He wrote that Simone makes him feel like the "luckiest man alive," and she seems pretty happy herself. She posted this photo with the caption "always smiling with you."


And there you have it: the new power couple. The internet was quick to get behind it!
