The U.S. men's gymnastics team has selected its six members for the 2017 World Championships being held in Montreal, Canada, from October 2-8.

Marvin Kimble

A few of the biggest names on the list are the Olympians Sam Mikulak and Alex Naddour, who both have a wealth of international experience under their belts.

Naddour trains at USA Youth Fitness Center and won the bronze medal on pommel horse at the 2016 Olympics, which was the first medal won by a U.S. gymnast on pommel horse since 1984. Naddour was also an alternate for the 2012 Olympic team. He said this weekend that after winning an Olympic medal, his next big goal is to secure a Worlds medal.

Mikulak also competed for Team USA at the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2012 London Olympics. He was the U.S. national all-around champion for three straight years (2014, 2015, 2016), but after an Achilles tear earlier this year, he is focusing on high bar and pommel horse.

Yul Moldauer is the current all-around star for the USA, consistently putting up outstanding performances. Along with securing the 2017 P&G Championships all-around title in Anaheim, CA, on Saturday night, he won the 2017 American Cup earlier this year as well as the 2017 Winter Cup.

Donnell Whittenburg of the U.S. Olympic Training Center competed at the 2017 FIG World Challenge Cup in Koper, Slovenia, earlier this year but battled injury following that meet. His notable events are vault, floor, rings, and parallel bars. On vault, he competes both a Dragulescu and a Tsuk full in, making him a top contender for a medal on the event.

Eddie Penev trains at the USOTC and is one of the world's best on floor and vault. He performs incredibly difficult passes with finesse, including a whip to Arabian double front pike half and a double-twisting double layout. He tied for first on floor with Moldauer at the 2017 P&G Championships and also won the national vault title.

Marvin Kimble took first all-around at the 2017 National Qualifier in Colorado Springs, CO, but he shines particularly on rings and high bar. Kimble won the national high bar title at this year's P&G Championships and also tied for first on rings.
