Junior international elite Maile O'Keefe of Salcianu Elite has announced her commitment to the University of Utah. O'Keefe is the reigning U.S. junior national champion, coached by Sorin and Tammy Salcianu. The Las Vegas native graduates high school in 2020.


O'Keefe made her international debut earlier this year at the 2017 International Gymnix Junior Cup in Montreal, Canada. She helped Team USA to a first place finish and also won the all-around and floor gold, second on vault, and third on beam. The rising star went on to compete at the City of Jesolo Trophy where she was a key contributor to USA's team gold and also took second all-around.

O'Keefe will join Jaylene Gilstrap and Deanne Soza in the class of 2020-2021 at Utah.
