Four Junior Standouts To Represent USA In International Competition
Four junior standouts have been selected to represent the USA in international competition this fall, according to USAG. The gymnasts finished top four in the all-around at the 2015 P&G Championships, including Laurie Hernandez and Jazmyn Foberg of MG Elite, Ragan Smith of Texas Dreams, and Jordan Chiles of Naydenov.

As the 2015 U.S. gold and silver medalists, Hernandez and Foberg will be competing at the International Junior Japan Meet, which will be held Sept. 22-23 in Yokohama, Japan. Smith has been named the alternate.

The Junior Japan International is held every two years and is one of the most prestigious international competitions for juniors. It showcases incredible talent from many of the top countries, including Russia, Romania, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, and Great Britain. In 2013, Hernandez was chosen to compete in this event, and it was her very first international competition after being named to the 2013 Junior National Team. She took third in the all-around and qualified for event finals in every event except bars.

Additionally, Smith and Chiles will compete in the 2015 Top Gym meet in Charleroi, Belgium, Nov. 28-29.
