Nichols will compete in Tokyo World Cup


Maggie Nichols of Twin City Twisters is coming off a huge win with TEAM USA at the City of Jesolo Trophy Cup and is now on her way to Tokyo for the World Cup. Nichols will replace Peyton Ernst of Texas Dreams who is now an alternate to the Pac Rim team. Ernst was also a member of the gold medal team in Jesolo.

Maggie Nichols of Twin City Twisters, will represent the USA at the 2014 Tokyo (Japan) World Cup. The event, which is the final leg of the 2013-14 International Gymnastics Federation World Cup all-around series, is scheduled for April 5, 2014, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium. 2013
Defending champion Asuka Teramoto of Japan is expected to compete, along with 2006 World all-around champion Vanessa Ferrari of Italy, Julia Steingruber of Switzerland, Victoria Moors of Canada, Carlotta Ferlito of Italy, and Roxana Popa of Spain. Nichols replaces Peyton Ernst of Coppell, Texas/Texas Dreams, who is now the second alternate for the 2014 Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships.
