USAG Announces Loaded Team for Jesolo 2014


Team USA's 2014 World premiere is set for March 22-23 in Jesolo, Italy at the City of Jesolo Trophy. The reigning World and Olympic Champions will take on the world in team competition for the first time this year with a stunning 14-woman squad, announced today at the Karolyi Ranch. Gymnastike will be traveling to Italy to provide exclusive coverage of this exciting event. 

2012 Olympic gold-medalist Kyla Ross of Gym-Max headlines the senior squad while reigning U.S. junior champion Bailie Key of Texas Dreams Gymnastics leads the juniors. Both will be making their 2014 competitve debuts in Jesolo. This competition features junior and senior team, all around and event finals competition.  

The team also features three new additions to the U.S. National Team who were selected based on their performances in training camps. Rachel Gowey of Chow’s Gymnastics and Dance has been added to the senior national team while Jordan Chiles Naydenov Gymnastics and Ragan Smith of Texas Dreams Gymnastics are now on the junior national squad. 

“This competition a great training ground for the upcoming Pacific Alliance Championships and World Championships,” said National Team Coordinator Martha Karolyi, who has guided the U.S. Women’s Team to 73 World and Olympic medals since 2001. 

Gymnastike will be in Jesolo providing exclusive coverage of the podium training and competiton. Gymnastike Gold subscibers will have access to the only podium training videos from Jesolo as Team USA debuts their new routines for the 2014 season. Competition routines will available immediately following the competition with complete coverage of Team USA plus the international stars.
