GOTW: The Stellar Rachael Flam

This week’s Gymnast of the Week is Rachael Flam, an exciting level 10 gymnast and elite hopeful who is having an amazing breakout season. She placed first at this year’s Metroplex Challenge and just this past weekend she tied for first all-around at the prestigious Nastia Cup. Rachael is a fourth year level 10 and will be attempting to qualify to elite at this weekend’s SCEGA California Classic National Elite Qualifier.

Rachael has an incredible array of skills and she executes them effortlessly. She is naturally talented and has a calm and collected style when she competes. At the Nastia Cup this weekend in front of over 4,000 fans she competed with maturity way beyond her 14 years of age. Rachael has a determined, nothing can stop her attitude. At the Nastia Cup she had a weird landing on her second vault and immediately grabbed her knee. However, she pulled herself together and finished the meet with a solid bar routine, securing her share of the title. Watch her bar routine below with her beautiful laid out full in dismount.
