Olympic team and all-around gold medaist, Gabby Douglas, reportedly will appear on the cover of Essence magazine's December 2012 issue.  In the cover story, "Gabby Takes Flight," Gabby reportedly speaks openly with Essence about her life since the Olympics.  

Essence's December issue is devoted to 2012's women of the year.  Gabby will share honors with the likes of First Lady, Michelle Obama; Good Morning America anchor, Robin Roberts, who has been battling MDS, a serious, rare blood disorder; and others.  The issue is expected to be available in print on November 9, 2012.
