As Canada prepares to go for its third consecutive gold medal at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship, they'll do so with a lineup that is light on experience, but long on talent. Hockey Canada has had to shuffle its roster in the days leading up to the tournament, however, leaving some uncertainty about their ultimate medal hopes.

Canada opens the tournament on Dec. 26 against Finland.

Despite those late changes, Canada has its roster set with 20 skaters and three goaltenders registered ahead of the tournament. They can make replacements if necessary, but would have to wait for those players to arrive from Canada if necessary. Teams are allowed to bring 25 players, but only can roster 23 on the active roster.

Canada will have just one returning player from it's 2023 gold medal team, Montreal Canadiens prospect Owen Beck. He will be among the captains for Team Canada as an alternate. Maple Leafs prospect Fraser Minten was named Team Canada's captain with Beck, Matt Savoie (BUF), Maveric Lamoureux (ARI) and Matt Poitras (BOS) wearing the A's.

UPDATE: This is Canada's official lineup as of its quarterfinal game against Czechia. Matthew Savoie (BUF), who missed Canada's last preliminary-round game is in the lineup.
