Kari's Story, part 1: Losing both legs, but never her spirit

Jun 2, 2012

In part two of our two-part "Inspirational Athlete" series, we highlight Kari Miller, a Paralympic sitting volleyball player. At 22 years old, Kari, an active duty member of the military, lost both legs after the car she was riding in was hit by a drunk driver. Ever the fighter, Kari survived and persevered, and is now on the way to her second Paralympics, with her sights set firmly on a Team USA gold. In part one of this two-part interview, learn how Kari got to where she is today, and find out about her work with injured servicemembers, including as part of Team Citi's Every Step of the Way Program.
