The sport of gymnastics is filled with legendary, gravity-defining women, but here are ten gymnasts we celebrate for Women's History Month who have made their mark for their contributions to the sport and the world. 

The Barbara Sinatra Children's Center, in partnership with gold-medal gymnast and advocate, Aly Raisman has launched FightChildAbuse.org's Virtual Event Series to combat child abuse. 

Best known for her accomplishments inside the gym, since her retirement from the sport Aly Raisman has made strides to leave a different kind of legacy in gymnastics. Besides her six Olympic medals, four World Championships medals, and numerous other successes, Raisman wants the sport to remember her for the change she created within it. 

Although this will not come as a shock for many gymnastics fans, Aly Raisman has officially announced that she will not be vying for a spot on the 2020 U.S. Olympic team.

We’re only a month away from the U.S. Classic, a competition that hopeful elites must qualify to in their journey of possibly competing at U.S. Championships later in the summer. Aly Raisman recently came forward as one of the victims of USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar's abuse, and since then she has been vocal on social media, speaking out against USAG's handling of the entire situation.

Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman has come forward as the latest gymnast to reveal she was sexually abused by USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, as reported by Sports Illustrated. Following McKayla Maroney's #MeToo post, along with abuse allegations from more than 130 women, Raisman detailed her experience in an interview with 60 Minutes set to air Sunday night.
