Doc Ali’s Tight Mind Monday 5-2-16: Dream

Think about why you began gymnastics. It probably all started with a dream. Maybe it was to go to the Olympics someday, maybe get a college scholarship, maybe get to optionals, or maybe because you just loved to flip and fly.

In this Tight Mind Monday, Doc Ali reminds us to remember our dreams and keep them with us all the time. One important thing about dreams is that they fuel us on bad days, keeping us focused and moving toward our goal. They keep the fire alive.

Here are some Tight Mind Tips to keep fueling your dream.

1. Write your dream where you can see it everyday. Try writing it in dry erase marker on your bedroom mirror, or make it your screen saver on your phone.

2. Create a vision board.  A vision board is a collage with pictures, and words that exemplify your dream. Put it where you can see it or take a picture of it and keep it close.

3. Listen to music that fuels your dream. There is nothing better than great music to keep your fired up.

4.  Embody your dream with how you think, and with your body language. Walk and talk as if you know your dream is attainable.

5. Visualize yourself achieving your dream. Imagine it in as much detail as possible. Remember, if you can imagine it, you can become it!
