USA, Mykayla Skinner, 1st place FX, 2014 Jesolo EF

Mykayla Skinner of Team USA finds redemption during event finals at the 2014 City of Jesolo Trophy. Skinner was the favorite for the floor title here but fell on her third pass, double arabian, during Saturday's qualification competition and failed to make the finals. In a surprising turn of events, Skinner and American teammate Alyssa Baumann switched places in the Beam and Floor finals. Both ended up with a medal and Skinner clinched gold for USA. She changed out her third pass from day one and hit to score a 14.533 (6.40/8.133). Kyla Ross took 2nd with a 14.233. This was Skinner's second gold medal of the day in Jesolo!
