Charlie Tamayo

Kyle Khou chats with elite gymnast Charlie Tamayo at Winter Cup. Charlie has recently begun training at Cypress Academy in Houston alongside US Champion Jonathan Horton and Coach Tom Meadows. Charlie was born and raised in Cuba and defected to the United States in 2003. He's known all over youtube for throwing crazy skills like standing double backs (see video below). He is still waiting to gain US citizenship, which would end with a shot at the 2012 Olympics.
