Simone Biles
leads the all-around competition after day one of the 2015 P&G Championships. She had a rocky meet but still finished on top with a 61.1. Maggie Nichols is in second with a 59.7 followed by Gabby Douglas in third with a 58.7, Aly Raisman in fourth with a 58.65, and Bailie Key in fifth with a 58.6.

.post-content img { padding: 10px; } Biles started on bars with an incredibly clean routine including a piked Tkatchev connected to a Pak and topped off with a stuck full in dismount for a 15.15. Douglas began her meet on vault where she performed a powerful double Twisting Yurchenko for a 15.1. Nichols competed her second Amanar ever and scored a well-deserved 15.8. Skinner performed a Cheng as well as a Yurchenko double full, both with great landings.

Brenna Dowell started off strong with an impressive bar routine and scored a 15.15 with a 6.7 difficulty score. Key followed with a beautiful routine and awesome form for a 15.2. Alyssa Baumann was on beam where she displayed her signature elegance with a standing Arabian to score a 15.15.

Kyla Ross started on floor but had an uncharacteristic mistake and put her right hand down on her last pass of a double tuck. Aly Raisman also had an unusual fall on her series in her usually solid beam and scored a 13.75.

Nichols lead after the first rotation and moved to bars to perform a clean set with a stuck double layout dismount to score a 14.95. Douglas displayed her signature high flying bar routine with a huge piked Tkatchev to a Pak and earned a 15.3. Biles moved to beam where she ran into a bit of trouble with some wobbles but still rocked her routine for a 14.8. Raisman got back on track as she moved to her best event of floor and nailed her routine for an impressive 15.55. Ross and Emily Schild both performed powerful and clean Yurchenko double fulls and earned matching 15.05s. Key had a mistake on beam when she put her hand down after her layout to two feet series and only posted a 13.7.

Halfway through, Nichols maintained her lead with a 30.75. Douglas was in second with a 30.4, Biles in third with a 29.95, and Raisman was in fourth with a 29.3.

Nichols continued her momentum to beam where she rocked her routine with a new tuck full in dismount for a 14.4. Douglas hit her beam set with some minor wobbles but finished strong for a 14.45. Raisman performed her Amanar on vault but landed off to the side and stepped off the mats to score a 15.2.

Biles moved to floor where she displayed her sky high tumbling including the Biles but had a very uncharacteristic mistake on her final tumbling pass when she landed her full in short and fell forward. However, she still earned a 14.9 with that fall.

Other highlights of rotation three included Amelia Hundley's beautiful bar routine with a toe circle full to tuck full in dismount for a 14.75. Schild also hit a great bar set for a 14.75 and jumped into a hug from her coach.

With one rotation left, Nichols had the lead with a 45.15. Douglas and Biles were tied in second with 44.85s and Raisman in fourth with a 44.5. Hundley moved up to fifth with a 43.8, Schild was sixth with a 43.4, and Key was in seventh with a 43.35.

Nichols finished on a high note with a solid floor routine including a tuck double double, tuck full in, and piked full in for a 14.55. Biles finished on vault with an incredible stuck Amanar for a 16.25 with a 9.85 execution. Biles continued with a Lopez for her second vault and finished strong after a rough day. Key also finished on vault with a very solid Yurchenko double full for a 15.25. Douglas finished on floor with a hit routine including a beautiful tuck Arabian double front for a 13.85. Raisman hit her bar set with small form breaks for a 14.15.

Madison Kocian finished her all-around competition on her best event of bars. She performed a beautiful routine with intricated connections for the high on bars for the day of a 15.5. Dowell finished her competition hitting all four event and an impressive showing in her first all-around competition of her elite return.

Day two of competition will be held this Saturday, August 15 with the senior session at 7pm.

Sam Mikulak
is the new men's senior National Champion after he scored an impressive 183.650 all-around over two days of competition. Donnell Whittenburg came in second with a 179.300. Chris Brooks secured bronze with a total of 177.150.

Steven Legendre won floor with a 31.300, Alex Naddour took the gold on pommel horse with a 30.600, and Whittenburg won rings after two great performances totaling a 32.00. Mikulak won vault and parallel bars with scores of 30.850 and 31.550 respectively. Brooks took the high bar title with a 31.350.

In rotation one, Legendre kicked off the competition with an incredible floor routine—showing huge tumbling for a rotation-high 15.650. Yul Moldauer wowed the crowd with big, clean tumbling as well as his flare work, scoring a 14.90. Michael Reid had a solid 14.650 on pommel horse. Naddour competed a nice rings set for a 14.90. Paul Ruggeri led the pack on vault with a 15.450, which put him in second after one. Jonathan Horton and Danell Leyva both shined on parallel bars, scoring 15.250 and 15.350 respectively. Akashi Modi followed them with an impressive 15.40.

The high bar got the best of the top competitors in the first rotation. Mikulak took a rough fall off the high bar, peeling on a giant and flying to his stomach, but he remounted to big cheers from a supportive crowd and finished strong. He still scored a 14.60 to keep the lead after one. Whittenburg fell on his Cassina, which has been giving him issues lately, and scored a 13.00. He came into the meet in second, but fell to fifth after one rotation.

In rotation two, Whittenburg and Mikulak came back with a vengeance and absolutely rocked their floor routines. Whittenburg posted a 15.70 and Mikulak a 15.80. Eddie Penev also had an amazingly clean routine for 15.60. Moldauer led the pommel horse in the rotation with a 14.45. Steven Lacombe posted a big 15.70 on rings. Brooks came on strong on parallel bars with a 15.70, which moved him into third after two. Ruggeri showed a solid routine for a 14.85 to keep his second position.

The high bar plagued the top contenders yet again, as Horton took a fall on a release and scored a 13.550 and Leyva took a fall for a 14.30.

Rotation three started with a great pommel horse routine from Whittenburg for a 14.35. Horton nailed his floor routine for a big 15.150. Leyva also had a nice routine and scored 14.90. Mikulak performed a great pommel horse routine and scored a rotation-high 14.80, keeping a solid lead of over three points. Legendre had the highlight rings routine of a 15.00.

In rotation four, Ruggeri had a very solid floor routine, including his incredible Arabian double front layout. He scored a 15.30. Brooks put up a great floor routine as well for a 14.70. Horton had a fall on pommels and had a 12.450. Leyva had an issue on his pommel horse dismount, and only scored a 13.35. Modi had the rotation-high 14.60 on pommel.

Mikulak competed a very solid routine on rings for a 15.50 and Kimble received a 15.40. Whittenburg showed such strength and control and a stuck double double layout dismount for a phenomenal 16.10. After ten of twelve total rotations, Mikulak had a solid lead, Brooks was in second and Whittenburg held the third spot.

In the fifth rotation, Mikulak hit his Kas double vault for a 15.35. Whittenburg moved into second with his 15.30 high-flying Dragulescu. Brooks scored a 13.30 on pommel horse and moved into third.

In the final rotation, Mikulak secured the gold with a 15.30 on his parallel bars routine. Whittenburg had a great routine with a double front half out stuck for a 15.20, and secured the silver. Brooks had a nice 15.050 rings routine to earn the bronze.

In front of a packed arena of over 15,000 fans, Simone Biles defended her national title and was crowned the 2015 U.S. Senior National Champion. Biles scored a 124.1 total from both nights. Maggie Nichols earned silver with a 119.15 and Aly Raisman earned bronze with a 118.55.

Biles started on beam where she had a lovely routine despite a small wobble on her Barani to score a big 15.9. Nichols started on bars with a beautiful set including a Maloney to Pak to Van Leeuwen to post a 14.8. Gabby Douglas also started on bars where she displayed her high flying releases, had a big step forward on her double layout, but still scored a 15.1. Bailie Key fought through her beam routine and finished with a double pike to score a 14.55. Raisman began her night on floor with a stunning, crowd pleasing set to post a 15.55, just 0.05 lower than her night one performance.

Emily Schild started off strong on vault where she earned a 15.0 for her Yurchenko double full and Megan Skaggs also had a strong Yurchenko double full for a 14.9. Kyla Ross landed a bit short on her vault and scored a 14.55.

After the first rotation, Biles kept her lead from night one followed by Nichols, Raisman, Douglas, then Key.

Biles continued to floor where she got redemption from night one and absolutely nailed her routine for a 15.85. Raisman performed a big Amanar on vault and, despite a stiff leg landing, posted a 15.3. Nichols was solid on beam and played it safe with just a double pike dismount for a 14.65. Douglas was a bit shaky on beam and started with a wobble or balance check on her first four skills. She finished strong with a double pike but only scored a 14.2. Key moved to floor where she performed a beautiful, elegant routine with a double layout and an Arabian double tuck to score a 14.7.

Other highlights from rotation two included Ashton Locklear’s gorgeous bar set with a stalder Shaposh to Pak to Maloney for a 15.45. Brenna Dowell had an impressive floor routine with a piked double front and a tuck double front but only scored a 14.05.

Biles increased her lead to 3.35 with two events to go. Raisman was second, Nichols was third, Douglas was fourth, and Key was fifth.

Biles performed her incredible Amanar, nearly stuck for a 16.3 with a 9.9 execution score. Key had a very solid double twisting Yurchenko for a 15.2. Raisman worked through her bar routine for a 14.1. Nichols went out of bounds on her tuck double double on floor but finished strong for a 14.15. Douglas got back on track with an awesome floor routine opened with a tuck Arabian double front to a stag jump for a 14.8.

Rachel Gowey performed on her first event of the night with a gorgeous bar routine including an in bar stalder Shaposh to an uprise to a giant full to score a 14.7. Madison Kocian followed with an absolutely gorgeous routine including a stalder full to tuck full in stuck to score a 15.6, one tenth higher than night one.

Heading into the final rotation, Biles lead with a 109.15, Raisman was second with a 103.6, Nichols was third with a 103.3, Key was fourth with a 103.05, and Douglas was fifth with a 102.8.

Biles finished her night on bars with a minor form break but otherwise nearly flawless routine for a 14.95 to secure her win. Nichols finished on vault with a huge Amanar to post a 15.85, half a tenth higher than day one. Raisman ended on beam where she had a strong set including her two foot back handspring to two foot layout series and her Arabian double front dismount to post a 14.95. Key ended her night on bars with a beautiful set including an improved Ricna to Pak for a 15.3, one tenth higher than night one. Douglas finished her competition with a clean and powerful Yurchenko double twist with a hop back for a 15.15.

This is Biles' third consecutive national title. Check out the full results below via USAG:

Steven Legendre showed great control on rings, scoring a 15.30. Sean Melton went on to post a 15.40 for his rings routine, which put him in third place after the first rotation. Danell Leyva had a phenomenal parallel bars routine, earning a 15.60, which put him in second place. Chris Brooks put up a solid 15.40 the event to tie with Melton for third after one rotation.

Alec Yoder was the top high bar performer of rotation one, stunning the crowd with a big Yamawaki, Kolman, and ending with a beautiful stuck layout double double. He scored a 14.450.

In rotation two, Kevin Wolting scored a 15.10 for a great floor routine ending in a stuck triple full. Some rough landings plagued several of the men, including crowd favorite Yoder who took a fall and went out of bounds in his routine—scoring a 13.20.

Whittenburg rocked the rings with a 15.90 routine—the highest rings score of the day. Horton posted a 15.050 on his rings set. Both Mikulak and Kimble had impressively solid sets to score matching 15.250s. Colin Van Wicklen stood up his huge Dragulescu on vault for a 15.10 to lead the group. Danny Berardini and Trevor Howard both scored 14.550 for great parallel bar routines. Ruggeri posted a big 15.950 on high bar and Leyva followed up right after with an incredible routine, including huge difficulty—Yamawaki, laid out Kovacs and a Kolman—for a 16.00.

Ruggeri opened up the fourth rotation on floor with sky-high tumbling, including an Arabian double layout and an Arabian double pike. He scored a solid 15.350 to land him in second place after three. Leyva had rough routine, taking two falls and scoring a 13.10. He fell to fourth place after three rotations. Yoder came back after a disappointing floor showing to nail a pommel horse set and earn a 15.60.

Horton performed a front handspring double front on vault, but over rotated and sprinted out of it all the way off the podium. He still scored a 14.00 due to the difficulty. Mikulak did a beautifully executed Kas double for a 15.50 to take the lead.

On high bar, Whittenburg caught his Cassina—his main goal for the competition—and scored a 14.750. Horton nailed his releases and his dismount for a 15.550 and Mikulak responded with a 15.550 to keep the lead.

In the last rotation, Whittenburg showed off a very well executed floor routine with huge difficulty to earn him a 15.40 and nail down a second place finish on the day. Horton posted a solid 14.90 to land in fourth. Ruggeri had a 15.250 on vault to boost himself into third. Mikulak took an uncharacteristic fall in his floor routine and scored a 14.350, which was enough to keep him comfortably in the lead after day one of competition.

After day one of competition, reining Junior National Champion Jazmyn Foberg is leading the way with a score of 58.350. MG Elite teammate Laurie Hernandez is in second with a 57.950 and Ragan Smith of Texas Dreams holds the third spot with a 57.40.

.post-content img { padding: 5px; } In rotation one, floor standout Christina Desiderio showed great difficulty and scored a 14.30 to kick off the rotation. Hernandez also had a nice routine with unmatched energy and expression, but was not as controlled on her landings as usual, scoring a 14.35. Foberg executed a solid routine, opening with a nearly stuck full twisting double layout, but took one rough landing and had a step out of bounds on her last pass to give her a 14.20.

Smith came in with a 13.65 for her bar routine. Jordan Chiles competed a huge double twisting Yurchenko on vault and scored a 14.950. Emily Gaskins also showed off a solid double twisting Yurchenko for a 14.650. Deanne Soza was the highlight of the beam rotation, showing confidence and elegance throughout her routine. She performed a unique switch leap to Onodi combination and scored a 13.650.

In rotation two, Hernandez competed a nice double twisting Yurchenko with a small hop to the right, and came out with a 14.550. Foberg showed a huge, beautiful double twisting Yurchenko and scored an impressive 15.00, which was the only score of 15 in the meet.

Smith was solid on beam, nailing her standing back tuck full for a 14.50. Chiles had a 14.550 for her great set on bars including her impressive Tkatchev to bail combination. Alyona Shchennikova showed nice long lines and lots of big connections on bars, and had a stuck double layout for a 14.550.

In rotation three, Soza started off by impressing with a giant double twisting Yurchenko for a 14.80. Buckeye’s Shania Adams had a lovely beam set including an impressive standing punch front, and scored a 13.90.

Morgan Hurd of First State had a 14.00 on bars with her clean lines. Foberg nailed a nice set on bars, with her toe on pike Tkatchev right to Pak, and scored a 14.80. She was followed by Hernandez who competed another great bar set with her big releases and impeccable form for a 14.90. Chiles was a bit shaky on her beam set, never quite settling in, but she pulled out a hit for a 13.550. Smith showed off a nice floor routine for a 14.550. Her landings weren’t quite as clean as they were at Classics, but it was still a great routine.

To start out the final rotation, Texas Dreamer Grace Quinn had a big double twisting Yurchenko for a 14.650 and Ragan Smith followed soon after with her own, scoring a 14.70. Foberg competed a solid set on beam for a 14.350 to give her the lead after day one. Hernandez didn’t have her strongest beam routine, but still scored a 14.150—enough to take the second spot right behind Foberg. It will be a tight race, and the Junior National Champion will be crowned after day two of competition on Saturday.
