With the World Championships edging closer and closer, countries around the world are taking part in many competitions in order to test and prepare their gymnasts as best as possible. This competition was held between September 13-14, 2014 in Porto San Giorgio.
 

The Italian Golden League is unique compared to a regular gymnastics competition. It is aimed to give the Italian national team gymnasts all an opportunity to compete with hopes of being named a spot on the World Championship team.

In this competition the four best teams, who have competed previously in the Series A1 competition, take part in this Golden League. The four teams compete under specific rules. In addition to these teams, Ginnasticando describes that another twelve junior and senior gymnasts selected by national team director, Enrico Casella, will be added randomly. The teams are allowed to use as many gymnasts as they like on each event, but only the five best scores will count. It will also determine the all-around results and the top eight individual qualifiers who will compete on specialty events. There is also a second vault final, the first being a regular two vault final, and the second being a final where all gymnasts can compete and perform just one vault. 

Vanessa Ferrari, Giorgia Camapana, Adriana Crisci, Erika Fasana, and Arianna Rocca are a few big names in the mix that competed in this event.
