For the second week in a row the Florida Gators gymnastics team successfully brought in crowds of unbelievable proportions. For their first home meet against Georgia the Gators #packthedome movement landed them a crowd of 10,000 fans! Tonight, when the Gators took on #1 ranked Oklahoma, a crowd of over 7,000 showed up to chomp the Sooners.

 

The Gators were on fire tonight and finally found those landings on vault. Both teams displayed beautiful form on bars, but finished with very few sticks. Balance beam was solid for both the Gators and the Sooners, but Oklahoma had to drop a nasty fall from Chayse Capps; who luckily was not injured.

 

Once the Gators took on the floor exercise the crowd began to roar to life. Fan favorites Bridget Sloan and Kytra Hunter BOTH scored a perfect 10.0 on floor the week before. As the crowd cheered for a repeat, they got what they were hoping for; Kytra Hunter scored a perfect 10.0, yet again! This is the first time in Gator history for a gymnast to score back-to-back 10.0’s on an event.

 

The Gators easily defeated the #1 ranked Sooners 197.875 to 197.225.
