2011 World all around runner-up Viktoria Komova hit all four events to pass Aliya Mustafina and claim the all-around crown at the 2012 Russian Cup.

Komova corrected her beam performance from the first day, where she fell on a layout, scoring 15.067 on the event.  She also improved her scores on vault (15.2 - double-twisting Yurchenko) and bars (16.2), while matching her score on floor (14.3).  Komova's total of 60.767 is one of the highest all-around scores of the year for any gymnast.

Second-place Mustafina (59.167) gave away her lead, recording shaky performances on beam (14.1) and floor (14.133), where she struggled on her turns.  She kept pace with Komova through vault and bars, however, breaking 15.0 on her double-twisting Yurchenko and scoring 15.867 for her intricate bars routine.

2011 World team member Yulia Inshina showed a consistent performance for third, finishing well behind the leaders at 56.167.  Inshina's best performance came on the balance beam (14.4), where she was an event finals qualifier at last year's World Championships.

Ksenia Afanasyeva (56.067), recovering from injury, fell again on her vault, and arched over on a handstand in her bar routine.  Afanasyeva again put together a solid beam routine, scoring 14.7, and managed a 14.267 on floor exercise with easier tumbling than she is capable of.

Anna Pavlova (55.697) improved her scores on vault (14.733) and beam (14.533), but remains on the outside of the Olympic picture.

Maria Paseka sat down her Amanar vault (14.533), but will have another chance with the skill during event finals.

Individual event finals will take place Saturday (V, UB) and Sunday (BB, FX).
