Nica Hults wins National Qualifier at the Ranch Results

INDIANAPOLIS, May 4, 2012 - Veronica Hults of Texas Dreams won the junior division of the 2012 National Qualifier, held at the USA Gymnastics National Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch in Huntsville, Texas, an official U.S. Olympic Training Site.
 
Hults scored an all-around total of 54.450 including a top score on uneven bars with a 14.350. Finishing second in the all-around was Twin City Twisters' Maggie Nichols with a score of 53.900 and a top score on vault with a 14.000. Finishing third in the all-around was Lauren Hernandez of Monmouth with a total of 53.450 and top scores on both balance beam (14.100) and floor exercise (14.050).
 
Jessica Wang of Winner's Academy took fourth in the all-around with a score of 52.600 followed by Alexis Beuchler of Cincinnati Gymnastics with a 52.000, Taylor Lawson of Parkettes with a 51.100 and Ashton Kim of Texas Dreams with a 51.050. All seven of the above gymnasts qualified to tomorrow's American Classic at the USA Gymnastics National Training Center, which serves as one of two qualifiers to the 2012 Visa Championships, and will be held Saturday, May 5, beginning at 10:30 a.m. CT.
 
In the senior division, Erin Macadaeg of San Mateo won the competition with a score of 51.400 followed by Tia Albritten of Zenith with a 49.800 and Claire Hammen of GK's with a 48.200. Macadaeg won the uneven bars title with a score of 12.850 and the floor exercise title with a 12.500, while Albritten won the vault (14.250) and balance beam (12.750).
