#6 Alabama and #7 face off on January 17th, 2016 in Legacy Arena at the BJCC at 3pm CST. This was a closely-ranked competition that carried a heated rivalry along with great gymnastics. This meet was special in two ways. First, these teams gained the added bonus of being able to compete on podium prior to their Conference Championship and Nationals. Second, this meet was created with philanthropic efforts in mind and the proceeds from ticket sales benefited the charities chosen by each school. Alabama chose Camp Smile-A-Mile and Auburn chose the Ronald McDonald House. $3,000 was donated to each charity! In terms of the gymnastics side of things, Alabama came out on top, winning the dual meet with a score of 196.875 to Auburn's 196.075.
