Two-time U.S. Senior National Team member Leanne Wong, an elite from Great American Gymnastic Express (GAGE), announced her commitment to the University of Florida. Her signing ends months of gymternet guessing and giddiness. Known for her graceful extension, clean lines, and competitive consistency, Wong made it official November 14, 2020, through her Instagram account.

Florida Freshman Alyssa Baumann: Adversity 'Has Only Made Us Stronger'

Alyssa Baumann spent 2017 rehabbing from elbow surgery instead of competing in Gainesville. The severe elbow injury had taken the former WOGA gymnast out of contention for the 2016 Olympic team. But Baumann hasn’t missed a beat since starting at Florida. She has competed on balance beam and floor exercise in every meet this season and has vaulted on four occasions.

All six of the top-seeded teams moved on easily from their respective regionals. Oklahoma hit the 198 mark for the eighth time this season, and Maggie Nichols scored the only 10.0 of the weekend—her fourth of the year on balance beam, in front of a hometown crowd in Minneapolis.
