The third-ranked Florida Gators are set to host the No. 16 Auburn Tigers in a meet that not only has big Southeastern Conference implications but also serves a larger cause. Both teams will be setting aside their normal school colors to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness in the Gators' 11th annual Link to Pink meet at Exactech Arena on Friday, Jan. 27.

Earlier in the week, Florida's gymnasts visited the American Cancer Society at Hope Lodge Center to spend time with the Gainesville community and share a meal together. Local breast cancer survivors will be honored on the gymnastics floor before the Gators and Tigers begin their competitive routines on Friday.

Florida's Last Time Out:
In it second road meet this season, Florida made adjustments to its competitive lineup against North Carolina and still came out with a 197.325 to 194.30 win over UNC. Two UF All-Americans combined to capture each of the meet's individual titles: Junior Alex McMurtry won vault (9.95), uneven bars (9.90) and balance beam (9.95), and sophomore Alicia Boren won the floor exercise (9.95) and all-around (39.625) titles. It was Boren's first floor title of her collegiate career, and her all-around win was her first of the season. Grace McLaughlin (bars) and Amanda Cheney (beam) both turned in collegiate-best marks of 9.85. Freshman Rachel Gowey added vault and floor exercise to her competitive slate, taking third in all-around at 39.225.

SEC Honors:
McMurtry was given the award of SEC Specialist of the Week, and Boren claimed SEC Gymnast of the Week. This is the first time Boren has earned this award in her career, and this is the sixth time McMurtry has been given this honor.

No 3 Florida vs. No. 16 Auburn:

The visiting Tigers are coming off a 197.10 to 195.800 loss last Friday at then-No. 9 Kentucky. This Friday, Auburn travels to Gainesville to compete against Florida and then heads to Birmingham to compete against Alabama on Sunday.

Auburn head coach Jeff Graba on this weekend's meets:

We're going against tough teams this weekend and we're anxious to see how we match up score wise with our young team. I like our team's mentality right now and we're a strong and ready team. However, this weekend will definitely be a challenge for us. We'll have to be smart managing our lineups and this will help us develop our depth.
While this matchup marks the start of back-to-back tests against tough SEC rivals for the Tigers, the undefeated Gators will be looking to try new lineups on events and have potentially four UF gymnasts competing in all-around.

Be sure to catch all the action on Friday, January 27, at 6:45 PM EST (TV: SEC Network).
