Stellar Seniors - Lloimincia Hall, LSU

This week’s Stellar Senior is Lloimincia Hall. Ever heard of her? Even people who don’t follow NCAA gymnastics know her name after her floor routine went viral last year. Not only does Lloimincia perform some seriously impressive dance moves, but her tumbling is powerful and her execution is flawless – literally, she holds the LSU record for the most career perfect 10.0s on floor with five in total.
Lloimincia is a dynamic gymnast who competes all-around for LSU, and she excels on all 4 events. Born and raised in Texas, Lloimincia trained at Texas Dreams under Chris Burdette, Kim Zmeskal Burdette, Tiffany Tolnay and Johnnie Rae Schmelzer, where she competed at the J.O. level from 2009-2011. She made her mark on floor exercise early when she won the floor title at J.O. Nationals in 2010. Besides her floor victory, Lloimincia finished in the top 10 of the all-around at each J.O. Nationals, and she actually finished in second place in 2010. In 2011, she won the all-around at the Texas State Championships and the Region 3 Championships, and also captured the beam title at Regionals and the floor title at State Championships.
Lloimincia started her collegiate career at LSU in 2012. She continued to be a top performer on floor, winning the SEC floor title that year, becoming the third LSU gymnast (but the first freshman!) to do so. She captured a total of 10 titles in her freshman year - 7 on floor, 2 in the all-around, and 1 on vault. Her sophomore year was just as impressive, where she again won the SEC floor title and remained the top floor performer for most of the season. The perfect 10.0s started this year, too - and she managed to get two of them that year. In her junior year, Lloimincia was ranked No. 3 nationally on floor and set an LSU record with three perfect 10.0s on the event. She gained a total of 10 individual titles that year, 8 of which were on floor, 1 on vault and 1 on beam. Once again, she gained the SEC floor title. Check out her 10.0 floor routine below from last year's meet against Alabama.
Lloimincia entered her final season at LSU this year with a whopping 25 floor titles, the third most in LSU history. In addition to her energetic and unique dance skills, her tumbling is out of this world. Her routine opens with a sky-high double layout, and her final pass is a double tuck which is practically in the rafters. Currently, she is ranked No. 3 on floor nationally, with an average score of 9.917 and a high of 9.975. Interestingly, her scores on floor so far this season have gone up with each meet - 9.825 vs. Iowa, 9.95 vs. Kentucky, and 9.975 vs. Missouri. She's competing at the Metroplex Challenge this weekend - let's see if she can add to her perfect 10.0 count!
