Top 10 Bar Routines to Watch for at NCAA Championships

In continuation of our series of the top routines to watch for during NCAA Championships, check out our list below of the top bar routines. Again, remember that this list is by no means exhaustive given all of the talented gymnasts who will be competing. We tried to compile a list of those routines that not only score highly, but are also somewhat unique. If you think we missed someone, let us know in the comments section!
10. McKenzie Wofford (Oklahoma)
McKenzie Wofford is one of Oklahoma's best bar workers. She is currently ranked No. 3 in the country with a 9.910 average. Her highest score in the regular season was a 9.95, and she scored a 9.875 at Regionals last week. McKenzie is known for her great pirouetting skills, her high-flying Jaeger and her powerful full twisting double tuck dismount.
9. Bridget Sloan (Florida)
Bridget Sloan is sitting in the No. 2 spot in the bar rankings. After suffering an ankle injury at the beginning of the season, she was forced to compete only on bars for a couple meets, and the result is that she has perfected the event. She scored two perfect 10's this season, one of which was at the SEC Championships, and her season average is a 9.967. Bridget has beautiful lines on bars, always hits those handstands and is no stranger to sticking her landings.
8. Chelsea Davis (Georgia)
Chelsea Davis is tied for 20th in the bars rankings and has scored a season high of a 9.925. Bars is her best event and she swings with ease. Her routine starts off with a huge Tkatchev and her form is nearly flawless with legs glued tightly together throughout.
7. Lauren Beers (Alabama)
Lauren Beers is currently ranked No. 9 in the country on this event, with a season high of 9.95 and an average of 9.833. She has a great connection in her routine where she connects her shaposh to a pak salto, and she also competes a double front dismount (which she often sticks).
6. Brittany Rogers (Georgia)
Brittany Rogers is a bit of a stalder queen. She has a lot of beautiful stalder work throughout her routine and also competes a Ricna release move. She is tied with Lauren Beers for the No. 9 spot and has a season high of 9.975.

5. Brianna Brown (Michigan)
Brianna Brown is ranked No. 5 in the country on bars with a season high of 9.95 and an average of 9.898. Brianna performs a very tough connection in her routine that is often only seen at the elite level - a Ray (toe-on straddled Tkatchev) straight into a pak salto.
4. Mary Jane Horth (Illinois)
Mary Jane Horth is another gymnast who qualified for the individual all-around competition at Championships. Bars is one of her best events, where she's currently ranked No. 8 in the country. Her season high is a 9.975, and she scored a 9.825 at Regionals. Mary Jane has a couple of really unique and difficult skills in her routine for NCAA Gymnastics. She performs a Van Leeuwen transition from low bar to high, followed by a gienger which she connects straight into an overshoot to handstand.
3. Brenna Dowell (Oklahoma)
Brenna Dowell was always known in the elite world for the high difficulty in her bar routines. She's carried her skills over well to the collegiate world, where she's already scored a perfect 10 as a freshman. She's currently ranked No. 9 in the country and has a seasonal average of 9.844. Highlights from her routine include a Church (toe-on piked Tkatchev) and a huge full twisting double layout dismount.
2. Peng Peng Lee (UCLA)
Peng Peng Lee performs some of the toughest skills in her bar routine. She's currently ranked No. 5 nationally, and her season high score is a 9.95. Her routine includes two very difficult transitions - a full twisting pak salto and a shaposh with a half turn. Because she performs such difficult elements, she also sometimes stumbles - she fell on her shaposh at the Pac-12 Championships. She had no trouble at Regionals, however, where she scored a high 9.925.
1. Georgia "No Gripz" Dabritz (Utah)
The No. 1 ranked NCAA bar worker in the country does not wear grips. Georgia Dabritz has a regular season average of 9.948 and boasts three perfect 10s this season. Georgia has beautiful lines and always hits her handstands perfectly. Her bar routine is not easy, either - she is known for performing a Comaneci, and she almost always sticks her full twisting double back dismount.
