Oklahoma scored a 197.725 tonight to beat Alabama who scored a 197.5 in both teams’ final regular season meet. The Sooners finish the season with a perfect 14-0. 

 

Lauren Beers and Haley Scaman both earned the high on vault with 9.95s. McKenzie Wofford won bars with a 9.9, Kayla Williams and Beers tied on beam with 9.95s, and Beers won floor with a 9.95. Beers also took the all-around title with a 39.65 and Kaitlyn Clark was a close second with a 39.55. 

 

This was the final home meet for Alabama seniors Williams, Clark, Hunter Dennis, and Lora Leigh Frost. 

 

OU head coach KJ Kindler said, “So many people stepped up across the board--it was a true team effort from top to bottom,” according to SoonerSports.com "It's very difficult to go into Alabama and perform the way they did tonight. We could not be prouder."

 

After the competition, Dana Duckworth told RollTide.com, "I think our ladies did some awesome stuff tonight. We did really well on vault, then we ignored our bar performance and went over to balance beam and we did our job. Then we went and closed it out floor. It wasn't outcome we wanted, but this experience will make us better down the stretch."
