No. 2 LSU Edges Out No. 5 Alabama

LSU beat Alabama tonight after an extremely close meet scoring 197.35 to 197.225. LSU's Jessie Jordan won all-around with a 39.575 as well as the beam and floor titles with a 9.9 an 9.925 respectively. LSU's Myia Hambrick won vault with a 9.925 and Alabama's Amanda Jetter won bars with a 9.9.

With LSU's win, they finish undefeated in the SEC regular season. They are 10-1 overall and 7-0 in the SEC.

Alabama's loss tonight at home broke their six-year, 49-0 home winning streak. The Crimson Tide's last loss in Coleman Coliseum was on Feb. 13, 2009 and also came to LSU.

Both teams were tested as both were missing one of their consistent and reliable competitors - Alabama without Katie Bailey and LSU's Rheagan Courville only competing two events. Bailey is out with back pain and Courville only competed vault and bars due to illness.
