#2 Best Upset of 2014 - Aww Shucks! Huskers Beam Past Competition to Super Six

As the year draws to a close, we are taking a look back at the best of 2014. The final few days of this year will be filled with the best routines, moments, and more from this year for you to enjoy. Taking the No. 2 spot of Best Upsets in 2014 is The University of Nebraska shaking things up and qualifying to Super Six Team Finals.

After a heated day of competition, and consistent peformances on each of the other three events, sleeper team Nebraska had the beam rotation of their lives with a series of 9.90’s to finish out the night with 197.1, blazing past the Pac-12 Champions from Utah by 0.075 (197.025) and fierce competitors from UCLA (197.00) for the final spot on the Super Six competition floor.

Despite counting errors in the final and finishing sixth place at Super Six, it was Nebraska’s first Super Six appearance since 2011 so just making it to the second night of team finals was considered a victory for the Huskers.
