UCLA Looks to Train on Podium
In an effort to bring UCLA gymnastics another championship, they are looking to renovate their practice gym. This renovation will put all of their equipment on a podium for training. With the NCAA National Championships held on a podium, they believe this will give them a competitive edge.

This change to the Bruins training has brought much debate. Although the NCAA National Championships are held on a podium, and sometimes even the regionals, none of the 11-13 regular season meets are held on podium. The Bruins feel that podium brings more bounce to each event, although that is not seen during the regular season. Will this daily training on podium affect the Bruins transition onto a non-podium competition? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
