The women's event finals saw the 2008 Olympic Vault Champion, Un Jung Hong, from the People's Republic of Korea win the gold on vault just slightly ahead of USA's Simone Biles. On the uneven bars, China's Yao Jinnan fought for the gold ahead of teammate Huang Huidan and Daria Spiridonova from Russia. 
After some uncharacteristic falls from over half the competitors on beam, Biles took the gold after another solid performance and Bai Yawen from China came a close second.
Winning her fourth gold medal at this championships, Biles wins the floor exercise title and sadly, teammate Mykayla Skinner missed out on the medals behind Mustafina by just 0.033.
