This past Sunday, history was made as the Japanese men’s team upset favorite China to win the team event at the 2014 Asian Games. Since the origin of the Asian Gymnastics Games, China has won 123 gold medals out of a possible total of 175- polling as the obvious favorite to dominate, once again. Japan fought until the end, and performed solid routines across the board. They were particularly impressive on pommel horse and high bar where they showed a high level of consistency that solidified their team gold medal.
