Canadian Championships Concludes with Event Finals
At today's event finals for the 2014 Canadian Championships, the top eight juniors and top eight seniors on each event competed for the event title. Ellie Black, who won gold on Thursday in all-around, added a gold on bars today. Shallon Olsen, who claimed all-around silver in the juniors field, placed on all four events today including a gold on vault.

On vault, future Penn State gymnast Briannah Tsang took the senior title with a 14.775. Future Florida Gator Maegan Chant took second with a 14.6 and future Maryland Terrapin Kirsten Peterman took third with a 14.25. For the juniors, Shallon Olsen took gold with a 15.975, more than a whole point above any other vault score today. Megan Roberts took silver with a 14.925 and Rose-Kaying Woo took bronze with a 14.775.

On bars, Black took first for the seniors with a 14.075 (WATCH video here). Isabela Onyshko was only 0.025 behind first with her 14.05 score. Victoria Moors took third with a 13.775. For the juniors, Woo took the title with a 14.45 followed by Olsen who scored a 13.475 and Audrey Rousseau who scored a 13.40. 

Onyshko took the seniors beam title with a 14.325 followed by Peterman who scored a 13.525. Ohio State commit Stefanie Merkle came in third with a 13.5. Rousseau had the highest score for the juniors with a 14.625 for gold (WATCH video here). Olsen claimed silver with a 14.425 and Sydney Townsend took bronze with a 13.85. Woo qualified in first on beam and scored 15.95 on Thursday, but unfortunately fell on a front aerial and dropped to sixth place. 

Moors had the highest floor score of the seniors for the third time this competition and won gold with a 14.025. Chant and Merkle tied for second with matching 14.0 scores. Woo claimed her second gold and third medal of the day with a gold on floor for her 14.95 routine. Roberts claimed her second silver of the day with a 14.925, only 0.025 behind first. Olsen earned her fourth medal from event finals with a bronze on floor for her 14.45 routine.
