The wait is finally over! The 2014 NCAA gymnastics season kicks off this weekend with three ranked teams in action!

Here's what's going on this weekend as women's collegiate teams return to competition for the first time since the NCAA Championships.

Friday, January 3

7:30pm UW La Crosse at UW Oshkosh
Final Score: Oshkosh 181.775 - La Crosse 179.95

Saturday, January 4

4pm Ball State at Illinois State
Final Score: Ball State 189.000 - Illinois State 188.950

Sunday January 5

1pm UW Eau Claire at Central Michigan
Final Score: Central Michigan 194.450 - Eau Claire 180.200

3pm #15 Penn State at Iowa State - LIVE STATS

The majority of collegiate teams will begin their 2014 campaigns the following weekend, headlined by three highly anticipated match ups taking place in Los Angeles, Norman, and Palo Alto.

The defending NCAA Champions and #1 preseason ranked Florida Gators will begin their 2014 season in the same arena where they made Championship history in 2013, UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. 2008 Olympic teammates Bridget Sloan and Samantha Peszek will face off for the first time in NCAA competition as the Bruins will return Peszek who missed the entire 2013 season with injury. Sloan is the reigning NCAA All Around and Beam Champion.

The #8 ranked Georgia Gym Dogs, fresh off their return to the Super Six, have a challenging weekend ahead of them. They will face two top ten teams on the road. Friday night, they will be hosted by Oklahoma. The Sooners finished a program-best second place at last year's NCAA Championships. Sunday, the Gym Dogs face #9 ranked Stanford.
