The latest NCAA women's gymnastics rankings are out and Florida remains at #1 for the second consecutive week. The Oklahoma Sooners the are just behind the Gators in the #2 position after scoring a 197.375 to defeat Big 12 rival West Virginia (195.875) and non-conference opponents Western Michigan and William & Mary.
Defending National Champion, Kytra Hunter, peformed only on the Uneven Bars this week and retains her #1 ranking in the All-Around.
The shocker last weekend was when #1 University of Michigan, struggled in Minneapolis this was upset by then #12 Minnesota. This week the shocker occurred in Athens! The Georgia Gym Dogs upset the back to back national champions of Alabama,197.500-196.950. Scoring a season high 197.500, The No. 8 Georgia Gym Dogs gave No. 5 Alabama its first loss of the season on Saturday at Stegeman Coliseum.
