Just over a month ago, Gabby Douglas was crowned 2012 Olympic all around champion and captured hearts with an infectious smile and compelling story.

Since returning from London, the 16 year old has graced the cover of People magazine and appeared on everything from the Today Show to Oprah's Next Chapter. Now, Douglas has reportedly signed a book deal. 

She plans to write an “inspirational memoir" for a HarperCollins imprint that is planned to be released in December. The book is to be titled “Grace, Gold and Glory, My Leap of Faith" and will detail her journey from her home in Virginia to Chow's Gymnasitcs and Dance in Iowa, and ultimately the London Olympic Games. The news was first reported by People.com.

Gabby told us in London that she wanted to follow along with the London Olympic slogan and, "Inspire a Generation". 

The 16-year-old certainly inspired publishing companies as Douglas' agent Sheryl Shade (the same agent as Shawn Johnson) revealed to TODAY.com that they received 12 book inquiries and five solid offers immediately after Gabby's golden Olympic performance. 

Watch for Gabby Douglas and her Fierce Five Olympic teammates Thursday night on MTV’s Video Music Awards. The team will be presenting an award.
