Samantha Shapiro gets a well-deserved 2nd place on UB! Stanford is really shining at this meet! Hong and Spinner still to come on BB.

Milliner second on VT, Ding in third.

First group on FX: Fergie, Hunter, Updike, Pisani, EHH. BB: Stone, Peszek, Grable, GSE, Wong, Priess.

Recap: Ding repeats as UB Champ (9.9875) and Kytra Hunter is VT Champ (9.875)!

Hunter is VT Champ with a 9.875 average!

 Johnson 9.487.

Hunter Yfull with two little steps backwards. That should be enough.

 Hunter 9.95 for VT 1.

InsideGym Hunter- UF: 1.5 basically stuck. casual.

Hunter VT: Y1.5, slight hop forward. Best vault yet.

Johnson UB: Lost swing after Toe on Tkatchev, had to rekip. Donezo. DING REPEATS!

Milliner Y1.5...step back. This could be close with her and Ding. Don't know if she'll get the score.

 9.825 Gerber it looks like.

Milliner VT: Yfull with a step.

Ding leading VT and UB right now!

Gerber UB: jaeger, giant 1/1 to Pak (nice!), dbl arabian, has to step back.

 Shapiro 9.9, goes into second.

Dabritz bails on the 1.5, does a Yfull again. Blehhhhhhhhh.

Dabritz VT: Yfull with a hop.

Shapiro UB: Stanford girls cheering LOUD! Toe Shoot, great HS, jaeger, Pak, 1/1 Twisting dbl STUCK!

Ding a tucked full with a step.

 9.825 Caquatto UB.

Ding VT: Yfull, flairs her arms out, but takes a few steps on landing.

Step on dismount from Macko. Not gonna win.

Tucked Yfull from Giblin. Steps out of it.

Stunning Yfull from Giblin. Stuck like a champ!

The three last gymnasts on VT (Dabritz, Milliner, Hunter) all have Y1.5 vaults. That's gonna come down to the end!

Dabritz warms up the 1.5. This will be interesting!

Macko will be first on bars in this second group. Janelle Giblin first on vault.

Dabritz does a Yurchenko 1.5. It'd sure be a nice time to pull that out.

InsideGym Who votes that Caquatto does one of the SIX same bar releases she's capable of? #us

Time for Group 2: VT: Giblin, Ding, Dabritz, Milliner, Hunter. UB: Caquatto, Shapiro, Gerber, Johnson.

King won't defend. Her vaults average to 9.775.

Gutierrez at 9.806 on VT. She's in the lead there.

9.987 for Kat Ding. Don't see anyone beating that mark!

King's landing must've been rougher than I thought. 9.775 first vault.

King Tsuk 1.5, good landing, small adjustment. Ding with lots of TENS!

King now on VT. Another champion from last year.

Ding UB: giant 1/1 to Tkatchev, lovely Pak, she's tad short on a few HS, DRILLED dbl layout.

Kat Ding up now...she'll aim to defend her title from last year.

 Courtney 9.887. Goes into first.

Delaney second vault also a layout, step back.

Courtney may pass Olson. I can't do math, but I'll let you know when it's posted!

Dealney VT: Nice Yfull, hop back on landing. Guti got a 9.95 for her first vault!

Courtney UB: Maloney to Overshoot, 1/1 twisting dbl, tiny adjustment on landing. Great job!

 9.875 Olson, 9.85 Zamarripa.

Guti throws a Layout second vault, tiny step.

Wow Cheek and Courville tied on VT right now.

Gutierrez sticks a Yfull...reminds me of Kayla Hoffman's technique on that vault, kind of hollows out at the end. Chest slightly down.

Olson gets a long hug from KJ Kindler! 9.85s and 9.9s flashing for Brie!

Brie Olson UB: gaint 1/1to Deltchev, straddlback, 1/1 dbl layout with a tiny step. Good routine, but missed a HS!

Cheek with a tucked Yfull..kind of off to the side and step.

Her teammates are cheering U-G-A! This arena loves Lindsey Cheek!

Cheek VT: STUCK Yfull. Really nice job! So impressed with her.

LSUgym Courville scored a 9.80 on her yurchenko full in her 1st vault. She earned a 9.675 on her 2nd vault, a layout.

Zam UB: Maloney, Stalder to Shootover HS, Toe Up, step on dbl layout. That one hurts.

Courville bobbles the landing of her Yfull. Second vault, just a layout, but a great one!

Zamarripa about to lead off bars. She has the goods to win, but definitely a disadvantage going up first. Ask @CaseyJoMagee

We'll see on VT now: Courville, Cheek, Gutierrez, Delaney, King. UB: Zam, Olson, Courtney, Ding.

I'll do my best to fulfill those requests! Thanks!

I'm taking interview requests for after EF. Any gymnasts you guys are dying to hear from?

Here's a link to the start list for each EF: bit.ly/I0rO1z

Men are descending from the ceiling and introducing the qualifiers. True story.

Katie Matusik (Ariz) and Rachel Updike (Mizzou) are the only EF gymnasts who did not come here with a full team. Such a huge accomplishment!

There are still eight gymnasts remaining in bars finals, so I don't believe an alternate will be put in for Davis.

In case anyone missed it, Chelsea Davis from UGA scratched EF today. She has a fever. No other scratches reported.

Peszek says she may be bringing out the big tricks for BB EF today. Watch out for a standing full from her! bit.ly/IlCZ0A

Some talented freshmen competing today! Dabritz, DeZiel, Courville, Hong, Hunter to name a few!

Who is everyone most excited to see today???

Samantha Shapiro and Stanford have exceeded expectations at this Championship. She's ready for UB Finals! bit.ly/JkktIZ

We're big fans of Matusik at ! It'd also be great to see EHH win it..did you know she's never made EF on beam until this year?

DreCabrillos @ I'm rooting for the underdog Katie Matusik! How cool would it be to have and EF champion from a non qualifying team?!

Pisani is a favorite to win FX. She says she wants to win it for @DavidKuzara her former coach at Arkansas! bit.ly/I2d6Ht

I'm personally hoping that Megan Ferguson can win her first BB title. Here's a look at her first routine of the year: bit.ly/wBQVEs

Bars will be a good battle between Ding, Zam and Alaina Johnson. All three have scored 9.95 on UB already at this meet.

Yes, every champion from last year is back to defend their titles tonight. As if these Nationals weren't awesome enough.

Gymnasts competing in multiple EF: Ding (V,UB) Kytra Hunter (V,FX) Zam (UB,FX), Ferguson (BB,FX) GSE (BB,FX) Pisani (BB,FX) EHH (BB,FX)

And of course,  will be providing live updates throughout today's EF!bit.ly/IgaJyr

ESPN3 is back to cover Event Finals...there should be a webcast, just like for the Super Six. Try here: es.pn/I25uAY

Just found out that Chelsea Davis came down with a fever and will scratch from EF today. She was scheduled to compete bars. :(

Here are gymnasts who will be defending their National Titles tonight: Marissa King (VT), Kat Ding (UB), Sam Peszek (BB), Stack Eaton (FX)!

Mizzou Freshman Rachel Updike will compete in the FX Final today! Here's a feature we did on her before nationals! bit.ly/I2VZF9

Looks like Chelsea Davis has scratched from bars finals. Not sure what's happened there.

Who's ready for Event Finals!?! It's going to be a fun way to close out an exceptional NCAA Championship.
