The top ranked Sooners took down Stanford, the defending national champions, on Saturday night with a score of 357.050 to 351.400 - watch videos here. The Sooners scored the highest team score this season of any NCAA team and captain Jake Dalton won four event titles- floor, vault, parallel bars, and high bar- and the all around title, with a season high, at this competition. This is the third time Jake has scored over a 16.000 on floor this season! The Sooners have their eyes focused on the national championship title. This competition will be held in Norman on April 19-20.

The Penn State Nittany Lions did not compete this past weekend but still hold their #2 spot.
 
The #3 Fighting Illini dominated #5 Ohio State, 355.100 ot 341.300. Stand out senior, Paul Ruggeri, won titles on vault, high bar, and his first all around title this season. Illinois scored higher as a team on all events except for pommel horse. This weekend was senior night and a double dual meet at Illinois- the Illinois women were competing in the same arena!
 
Although Stanford did fall to the Sooners, the Cardinals marked their highest team score of the season! Stanford will compete twice this coming week- March 9 against #5 Ohio State and March 11 against #14 UIC.
